The Story Behind Theory Five Photography
The name Theory Five represents both the creative philosophy behind our photography and something far more personal.
The “Theory” reflects the idea that photography is more than simply taking pictures — it’s about observation, creativity, emotion, and constantly learning to see the world differently. Every landscape, wildlife encounter, travel destination, and everyday moment has a story to tell, and photography is my way of capturing those moments as authentically as possible.
The “Five” carries two meanings.
First, it represents the five core elements that shape my approach behind the camera:
- Light
- Composition
- Timing
- Emotion
- Perspective
Together, these elements form the foundation behind every image created through Theory Five Photography.
But “Five” is also a personal nod to family. With three kids, there are five of us altogether, making the name a subtle reflection of the people who inspire and support this journey every day. Photography has become a way to not only explore the world around us, but also preserve the moments, memories, and experiences that matter most.
Theory Five Photography is built on a passion for landscapes, wildlife, travel, and storytelling — capturing both the extraordinary and the often-overlooked beauty found in everyday life.
